People’s Budget Assembly 2016 to 2018

Project Brief:
A model parliament session called “People’s Budget Assembly 2018” was held at Dhaka University’s Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on 13rd may. Ganatantrik Budget Andolan, the parliamentary caucus concerned with national development and the annual budget, Dhaka University Centre on Budget and Policy, and various others from all over the country organized this fourth iteration of the event.
The event was presided by the vice-president of the caucus Fazle Hossain Badsha, with Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon present as chief guest. President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Food Abdul Wadud Dara, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md Jahid Ahsan, Dhaka University Development Studies Department Assistant Professor Selina Siddiqui were also present at the event among others. Zero Point worked with ActionAid Bangladesh since 2013.
